There are a lot of different elements that determine the grade of fabric including repeat pattern, expense to produce, and popularity. These issues may drive up the cost of the fabric, but are not an indicator of the quality. Sometimes the higher grade and more expensive fabrics may be even more delicate and not wear as well.
