Cushions

Manufacturers use foam, feathers and springs in various combinations to provide a wide range of cushion choices. Examples of quality cushions include a firm polyurethane or spring core wrapped with softer polyester or down.

On the other hand, seat cushions filled with shredded foam will lose their shape, flattening quickly and causing seams and welts to shift.

On well-made cushions, you'll notice a second wrapping inside the zippered cover. This wrapping eliminates friction between the outside cover and cushion, keeping the fabric smooth and in place. Whenever possible, choose reversible cushions to even out signs of wear and soiling.
